Colorectal cancer is one of the most prevalent form of cancer among men and women, but even though there are lots of natural remedies that prevent this disease, medical officials continue to believe that there is not enough research to support that fact.

Sadly, this doctrine still dominates the pharmaceutical industry, the largest number of studiesfunded by the pharmaceutical companies and what they are mainly focused on financial gain,rather than to human health.

An excellent example of this comes from the University of Adelaeidu in Australia, where researchers found that lauric acid (which makes up 50% coconut oil) destroys over 93% of the cells of colon cancer in humans after 48 hours of treatment.

Intriguing is that lauric acid poison cancer cells by simultaneously caused by oxidative stress, thereby significantly reducing the level of glutathione (needed cancer cells to protect against oxidative stress).

The experiments were carried out in vitro in petri dishes, but also in vivo in rats, showing the same effect.

Lauric acid is normally found in the breast milk, and is a fatty acid that supports the immune system and has antimicrobial properties.

Clinical studies of the American Society for nutrition have shown that the fat in coconut oil “may be useful in the treatment and prevention of conditions such as diabetes, osteoporosis, viral diseases (mononucleosis, hepatitis C, herpes, …), gall bladder disease, Crohn’s disease and cancer.”

It has been proven that coconut oil reduces the side effects of chemotherapy and improves quality of life of cancer patients.
